Teacher Salaries

In New Zealand, teachers earn an average salary of NZD 70,000 annually. Starting salaries for new teachers are around NZD 61, 329, while those with significant experience can make up to NZD 103,085. 

Academic Year

The academic year is divided into four terms running from late January until December. 

 

Term 1

Late January to Easter (two weeks' holiday)

Late April to Early July (two - three weeks' holiday)

Late July to late September (two weeks' holiday)
